After breakfast the day is yours to explore the many sights York has to offer……. why not visit York Minster; – housing some of the world’s greatest treasures, it is one of the world’s most magnificent cathedrals, with foundations rooted in England’s earliest history. Or discover the sights, sounds and smells of an authentically recreated Viking city as it stood over 1,000 years ago at the Jorvik Viking Centre. You can marvel at iconic locomotives, watch engineering work in progress in the Workshop, browse the object-filled Warehouse, and let off steam in the outdoor play area. But if that’s not for you then simply spend a day shopping and having a relaxing lunch by the river; there is something for everyone in this beautiful city.
