Whitby is a lovely old fishing town with winding cobbled streets and pretty buildings that make you feel as if you’ve gone back in time.

There’s something mysterious and intriguing about Whitby, which is highlighted by the presence of beautiful fossils that anyone can find along the shoreline, the seaside fortune tellers and the ghost walks that tell of the town’s spooky past.

ITINERARY

Friday
After a morning departure we have a beautiful ride today; we head to Ripon where time is given so you can get some lunch and stretch your legs. We then continue our journey towards Hemsley and the famous Hambleton Hills, travelling through Pickering and the North Yorkshire moors before arriving in Whitby in time for our dinner this evening.

Saturday
Today after breakfast you have a free day in Whitby, which effortlessly combines a fascinating history, ruined abbey and working port with sandy beaches, rock pools and traditional seaside attractions. Not to mention some of the best fish and chips in the world!

Sunday
After a full English breakfast we say a fond farewell to The Saxonville Hotel and make our way home. We travel via the coastal road towards Scarborough and take a stop in Harrogate where time will be allowed for you to get some lunch and have look around. We will be arriving home early evening.
