If you want a weekend holiday break then this is the perfect trip. The historic walled city is considered one of the biggest pedestrians zones in Europe and offers more attractions per square mile than any other destination in the UK. York has an incredible amount of things to see and do and should not be a trip to be missed.

The Itinerary

We start our morning journey to York having and take a stop in the beautiful town of Harrogate on the way, arriving at the hotel in time for check in and evening dinner.

After breakfast the day is yours to explore the many sights York has to offer……. why not visit York Minster; – housing some of the world’s greatest treasures, it is one of the world’s most magnificent cathedrals, with foundations rooted in England’s earliest history. Or discover the sights, sounds and smells of an authentically recreated Viking city as it stood over 1,000 years ago at the Jorvik Viking Centre. You could also visit the National Railway Museum which is home to over 300 years of history and over a million wonderful objects. You can marvel at iconic locomotives, watch engineering work in progress in the Workshop, browse the object-filled Warehouse, and let off steam in the outdoor play area. But if that’s not for you then simply spend a day shopping and having a relaxing lunch by the river; there is something for everyone in this beautiful city.

After breakfast you get more free time to do as you please before leaving for home on our luxury coach at 3:00pm.

Book A Weekend In London!

• Friday 11th November- Sunday 13th November
• Staying at the Guoma Hotel

Enjoy a relaxed weekend in London and visit the Shard, the tallest building in Western Europe. Once at the top you can enjoy a panoramic 360 degree view of the UK’s capital. Explore the many bars cafes and restaurants the city has to offer and relax at the 4 star Guoma hotel that overlooks the Thames river, the Tower Bridge and the Shard.

A trip to London and a visit to the Shard would make for a fantastic weekend away.


We make our way via the motorway network to London and the fantastic Guoman Tower Hotel London which is our 4 star accommodation for two nights. In the evening you could visit St Katherine’s Marina which overlooks the hotel and here you will find many restaurants and bars if you wish to eat out, or you could wander over Tower Bridge to visit one of the many eateries on the south side of the River Thames.

After breakfast we visit The View from The Shard (entrance included). The View from The Shard is the visitor attraction at the top of The Shard, the tallest building in Western Europe and London’s newest landmark. At almost twice the height of any other viewing platform in London, it offers visitors spectacular 360 degree views over the UK’s capital for up to 40 miles. You then have time to explore the nearby area which includes Tower Bridge, The Tower, Borough Market etc. The rest of the day and evening is yours to explore the many sights London has to offer, or why not go to the West End and see a show.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and you then have free time before meeting the coach at 15.30 hrs to start our homeward journey. Remember that today the Armistice Day Parade will take place in the city centre. We expect to arrive home mid evening on our executive coach

What Does the Excursion Include?

We depart from your home area in the morning and travel to Norwich with stops en route before arriving at Dunston Hall. You will have some spare time to explore the hotel leisure facilities before your evening meal.

After a scrumptious breakfast we travel in to Norwich and like any great city its centre is easy to walk around and has a river at its heart. As well as being the most complete medieval city in the UK, it has a flourishing arts, music and cultural scene, superb independent shops as well as high street shopping, lively restaurants, and a heritage that’s waiting to be explored. There is free time given here to get lunch before departing to see the matinee performance of The Thursford Christmas Spectacular show.

Sadly, after a leisurely breakfast, we leave Dunston Hall and journey homeward with suitable stops en route.
