Coach trip to cornwall

After an early departure a taxi takes you from your front door to our coach, and then we head south towards our beautiful destination, Cornwall. We have comfort stops and a lunch stop en-route before arriving at The Rosemundy House Hotel our home for the next 5 nights.

Excursions will include

  • A visit to Looe, one of Cornwall’s prettiest resorts, with its ancient traditions based on fishing. Have a stroll along the attractive harbour side and watch the many boats passing to and fro. We then continue our journey to Polperro with its picture postcard views and narrow streets.
  • Next, we head to Port Isaac which has been an attractive fishing village since the early fourteenth century. Its narrow, winding streets are lined with old white-washed cottages and traditional granite, slate-fronted Cornish houses, many of which are listed as of architectural or historic importance. From the Middle Ages until the middle of the 19th century, Port Isaac was a busy port handling various imports and exports, including coal, timber, pottery and Delabole slate. In fact the name Port Isaac is derived from the Cornish Porth Izzick meaning the ‘corn port’. After the advent of the railways, it became principally a fishing port. A stream runs through the village, finding its way into the sea over the harbour wall.
  • We then travel via the small resort of Portreath to the popular and very beautiful St Ives, with its cobbled streets, galleries and craft shops you will be sure to enjoy this wonderful seaside town.
  • After a leisurely breakfast the coach will drop you off in St Agnes; there is a variety of craft shops, art galleries and workshops around the village well stocked with local artists’ works. Or St Agnes Museum on Penwinnick Road is open daily with free admission and is full of fascinating artifacts and information about the Parish of St Agnes. You will have time to get some lunch (not included) before the coach will pick you up and return you to the hotel late afternoon.

After breakfast we sadly leave Rosemundy House Hotel and travel north, where your taxis await to take you home.
