After our door to door service collects you from home we have an early morning departure that sees us travelling south to Southampton for our ferry to Cowes. We then make our way to the Queensmead Hotel, Shanklin, arriving in time for dinner.

 Excursions will include:

  • A morning visit to Newport, the islands capital, for the local market. In the afternoon we head to Cowes at the mouth of the River Medina with its many sailing boats and yacht clubs.
  • We board our coach for a tour of the west side of the island which boasts spectacular coastline and stunning scenery, affording plenty of magnificent views. We travel via Ventnor to the Isle of Wight’s most famous landmark, Needles Park which boasts fabulous ocean views and is home to the iconic chair lift which operates from the cliff top at Alum Bay down to the beach where we can see the Needles Rocks and coloured sand. We then continue to Yarmouth making our way back to the hotel.
  • A morning visit to the picture postcard village of Godshill with its quaint thatched cottages. Afternoon at leisure in Shanklin with chance to explore this charming seaside town.
  • We head to Havenstreet and board our Steam Train and take in the idyllic view of the islands unspoilt countryside. We then continue to Ryde. In addition to an expanse of sandy beaches which stretch right along the town, there’s a great selection of boutique shops, museums and galleries for you to visit.
  • 2 days at leisure in Shanklin.

Enjoy a hearty English breakfast before we say goodbye to Queensmead, leaving with fond memories of our holiday on the Isle of Wight. On arrival in local areas taxis will be waiting to take you to your front door.
